ElectricianBusiness.ca exists for one kind of client: the owner of an electrical contracting company who is good at the trade and wants the business behind it to work as well as the wiring. We help with pricing, service mix, hiring plans, office systems and marketing, in that order, and we judge everything by gross profit.
We are a business consulting and digital marketing service. We are not an electrical contractor. We don't install, repair, inspect, service or certify anything, we don't pull permits, and we don't give code or safety advice. Your licence, your crews and your workmanship are yours; our work is on the business side.
The company
ElectricianBusiness.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is Canadian, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it serves owners in every province and territory.
The group has two parts that matter to you:
- Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. Trades.Agency, the parent of our trades family, is one of its brands, as are HVAC.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
- SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) handles the group's higher-level consulting. It works on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, Ali is its Founder & Managing Partner, and Sedighi.ca provides its strategic leadership.
ElectricianBusiness.ca belongs to the trades family led by Trades.Agency, whose plans and terms we use. For owners thinking about an eventual sale, the group's business-sale and exit brand is BizSell.ca, alongside Sedighi.ca.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi leads ElectricianBusiness.ca. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management. His career in digital marketing began in 2007, the year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service agency, which gives him 17+ years of practice. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Besides SAZ.ca, he founded Conv.ca, an agency for conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai, and has built 150+ live HVAC websites for home-service companies, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and HVACDeal.ca.
That home-service background is the reason for this site. Electrical contracting shares the same business mechanics as HVAC: service calls and larger installs, seasonal peaks, crews to schedule and quotes to chase. The trade is different; the arithmetic is the same.
How we work
The answer: numbers first, in writing, at a pace your shop can absorb.
- We start with your invoices. Six to twelve months, sorted by job type. Opinions come after the data.
- We agree targets in writing. Each recommendation has a number attached, such as margin on menu jobs or gross profit per crew-day, and a date to check it.
- We change one or two things at a time. A shop can absorb a new price book or a new dispatch board in a month, not both plus a new website.
- We review monthly. A one-page scorecard, a short meeting, and decisions about what to keep, change or stop.
- We stay in our lane. No electrical, legal, tax or wage advice. When a question belongs to your regulator, your accountant or your lawyer, we say so.
Why an owner-side view matters
Electrical owners get plenty of advice from people selling them something: software, equipment, leads. Each pitch is about one piece of the shop. Our job is to look at the whole thing from the owner's chair, where a pricing change, a new hire and a marketing budget all draw on the same crew-days and the same bank account.
That is why we ask for invoices before we talk about ads, and why our recommendations come with the trade-offs written down. If adding a generator line means pausing builder work for a season, you should see that before you decide, not after.
What we won't do
- Promise rankings, leads or revenue.
- Invent reviews, customer quotes or results.
- Tell you how to do electrical work, or interpret your provincial regulator's rules.
- Recommend wage levels or employment terms.
- Lock you into a long contract; Trades.Agency plans run month to month.

Frequently asked questions
Who will I actually work with?
You'll talk to a senior strategist from the first conversation, and Ali Sedighi leads the work. We don't hand new clients to a junior account team after the sale.
Are you based in my province?
We are headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and work with electrical owners across Canada. Meetings happen in person or online by video call, and day-to-day work runs by phone, text and email.
Why do your case studies come from HVAC?
Because that is where Ali's published track record is. We present them as results from our HVAC work and never as electrical results. The method transfers; the numbers belong to those HVAC clients.
